Members of the Uzbekistan national team are successfully performing at the World Sambo Championships in Kazakhstan.

On the second day of the championships, winners in 9 weight categories were determined. After uncompromising fights, Uzbekistan’s sambo wrestlers won 1 gold and 3 silver medals.

Shakhzoda Azatova won the title of world champion in the weight category up to 59 kilograms. Sambo wrestlers Sardor Olimjonov (up to 64 kg), Ozodbek Murotov (up to 98 kg), and Mavluda Abdullayeva (up to 80 kg) were awarded silver medals.

Thus, the Uzbekistan team has 2 gold and 5 silver medals.

Today, on the last day of the competition, athletes will compete for medals in 10 weight categories.
