On February 16-25, Manama, Bahrain, hosted the Asian Juniors and Cadets Fencing Championships.

The Uzbekistan national team won 13 medals – five gold, one silver, and seven bronze.

In competitions among youth, Uzbekistan’s athletes won three gold and five bronze medals and took second place in the overall team competition. The juniors were awarded two gold and bronze medals and one silver medal, ending up in fourth place in the tournament.

Experts highly praised the skill of Asian champion Alpamis Urakbayev and Musa Aymuratov, and Nargiza Jaksibayeva, who performed in singles competitions.
