The parliamentary delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis in Saint Petersburg took part in the plenary session of the 10th BRICS Parliamentary Forum on “Interparliamentary cooperation in the humanitarian and cultural spheres”.

Issues of developing international cooperation in science, education, tourism, art and culture, and working with young parliamentarians were discussed at the meeting.

At the plenary session, the Uzbekistan delegation informed in detail about the attention paid in the country to education, culture, tourism, and high results.

The forum participants also discussed issues of ensuring gender equality and protecting the rights and interests of women.

The joint declaration of the 10th Parliamentary Forum was adopted.
