The Paracanoe World Championships have kicked off in the Canadian city of Halifax.

Uzbekistan’s Mukhlisa Eshmirzayeva participated in the qualifying competitions in the VL3 class among women and Khasan Kuldoshev among men in the KL3 class.

At the qualifying competitions, M. Eshmirzayeva competed against the representatives of Brazil, the UK, Australia, Japan and Canada and came to the finish line fourth. And Kh. Kuldoshev had to fight with representatives of Italy, Poland, Australia, Japan, Nigeria and Chile, fixing the time of 43.11 seconds, he took third place.

Thus, both of Uzbekistan’s athletes advanced to the semi-finals of the competition and will continue to fight for medals.
