Acting Hokim of Namangan region Shavkat Abdurazzakov has received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Uzbekistan Mykola Doroshenko.

The parties discussed the issues of raising bilateral relations to a higher level and further developing trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation.

The foreign trade turnover of Namangan region with Ukraine this year amounted to $16 million, which is 2.1 percent more than in the same period last year. Namangan exported goods worth 13 million 800 thousand dollars to Ukraine, and imported products worth 2 million 200 thousand dollars from Ukraine.

Mainly, vegetables and fruits, leather and knitwear were sent to Ukraine, modern technological equipment for various industries, chemicals and medicines were imported.
