On July 13, the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov met with a delegation of Masdar (UAE) led by its CEO Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi.

Mr. Sultanov expressed gratitude to Masdar leadership for constant active participation in tenders for energy projects planned for implementation in Uzbekistan.

The minister emphasized that a modern, constantly developing energy industry is the basis for ensuring the stability of production facilities, food industry, metallurgy and other economically important areas of Uzbekistan.

Mr. Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi noted that in a relatively short period of time, Uzbekistan has created a modern legal framework for the development of such an innovative area as renewable energy sources, which is a reliable foundation for the development of this area in the country, including the construction of solar and wind farms.

The guests were also informed about the High-Level International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”.
