On the first day of the 3rd Asian Youth Games, which began in Bahrain, the Uzbekistan national team won two gold medals.

Otabek Yuldoshboyev and Durdona Tursunova, competing in kurash wrestling, defeated all their opponents in their respective weight categories to claim gold medals.

It should be noted that the Games feature competitions in 24 sports disciplines, with more than 8,000 young athletes from 45 Asian countries participating. The official opening ceremony of the Games will take place on October 22.
