Uzbekistan’s investment and tourism potential presented in Japan

The Embassy of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Mayor’s Office of Japan’s city of Nara and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, organized a business workshop on “Investment and tourism potential of Uzbekistan” on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the establishment of sister city ties between this city and Samarkand.

Vice-Mayor of Nara Kiyomi Suzuki emphasized that the ancient and ever-popular cities of Samarkand and Nara are connected by a long history and active relations.

It was emphasized that the Japanese side is ready to develop cooperative relations between the two regions in the political, socio-economic, and tourism spheres.

Representatives of Japanese business circles were presented with information about the results of reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years, and the investment and tourism potential of Samarkand region.

Representatives of the business community of the city of Nara were invited to jointly implement investment projects in Samarkand region in various fields.

As part of the event, an exhibition of Uzbek applied art was organized, which featured ceramics, painting, engraving, jewelry, embroidery, and wood carving, as well as tourist guides prepared in Japanese.
