The national anthem of Uzbekistan was played at the World Master Weightlifting Championships in the Polish city of Vileyka.

Uzbekistan’s Vyacheslav Buryukhov participated in the weight category competition of 96 kilograms. The Uzbek athlete managed to leave behind the world and European champions, winners of the Olympic Games. He lifted 236 kilograms. This figure exceeded that of his rivals by 14-18 kilograms.

About 850 athletes from 56 countries are taking part in the championships.
