Uzbekistan’s heritage showcased at the Gugong Imperial Palace Museum

On September 29, 2023, the “Belt and Road Cooperation in Cultural Heritage and Archeology” archaeological exhibition opened at the Gugong Imperial Palace Museum in Beijing.

According to the Art and Culture Development Foundation under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visitors to the exhibition can see more than 80 museum exhibits from China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and the United Arab Emirates.

The exhibition includes several sections reflecting different periods of development of the culture and art of the people living along the Great Silk Road.

Uzbekistan will present eighteen exhibits from the collection of the State Museum of History and the Institute of Art History of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. The event is the most important event for all countries participating in the forum and aims to strengthen and enhance cultural collaboration between them.

Art objects from Uzbekistan are exhibited with the support of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan.

The exhibition, held as part of the Belt and Road Forum, will be open from September 29, 2023 to January 5, 2024.
