Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov has received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Uzbekistan Ahmed Al Katheeri.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for further development of bilateral relations in various fields.

The main attention was paid to the interaction of the parties within the framework of the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international institutions.

The Ambassador emphasized that the Government of Oman fully supports the program of large-scale reforms and transformations being implemented in New Uzbekistan, and is ready to provide the necessary assistance in ensuring its effective implementation.

The parties expressed their interest in building up cultural, humanitarian, research and educational exchanges.
