Uzbekistan’s athletes are preparing for the Women’s Boxing World Championships to be held on May 9-20 in Turkey’s Istanbul.

According to the National Olympic Committee, Uzbekistan’s athletes at the Asian Championships won 1 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals, and at the World Youth Championships, Uzbekistan’s female athlete was awarded the high title of world champion among women for the first time in the history of the country.
