Uzbekistan’s experience in developing the internal audit system receives international recognition
12:55 / 2025-04-22

The Ministry of Economy and Finance has reported this.

It was noted that the activities carried out within the framework of the World Bank’s Public Expenditure Management Peer Assisted Learning program on public finance management in Uzbekistan to create and develop an internal audit system in government agencies and organizations were recognized as successful practices. International experts highly appreciated Uzbekistan’s experience. This practice is reviewed in a separate article on the official PEMPAL website.

Uzbekistan’s experience was also positively assessed at the plenary session on the future of public finance management organized by PEMPAL on March 25-27 in Vienna. Uzbekistan, Albania, Georgia, and Moldova were noted as developed countries that effectively implement advanced practices.

This international recognition of the improvement of internal audit confirms that the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan comply with international standards and best practices. At the same time, this will contribute to the effective implementation of the further tasks.
