18:23 / 2025-06-13

As part of the 113th Session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva, the Chairperson of the Senate, Tanzila Narbayeva, met with Beate Andrees, ILO Assistant Director-General.

The meeting focused on the work carried out under Uzbekistan’s Decent Work Country Program for 2021-2025.

Uzbekistan’s efforts to promote the principles of decent work, ratify key ILO conventions, and actively incorporate international standards into national practice were highly commended.

An agreement was reached to enhance focus on ensuring the implementation of priority tasks outlined in the Sustainable Development Goals, reducing poverty, strengthening social protection, and improving the professional qualifications of the tripartite national partners and state labor inspectors.

The parties also discussed the development of the Country Program for the period up to 2030.
