Uzbekistan’s education institutions are awarded a grant from the Government of Japan
This year, one of the secondary schools in the city of Urgench and two preschool education institutions in the city of Termez were awarded targeted grants from the Government of Japan.
These funds of almost $140 thousand will be used to improve the material-technical database of institutions.
Minister of Preschool and School Education Hilola Umarova and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Uzbekistan Hatori Takashi signed several agreements as part of the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects.

According to the project, Japanese water cleaning equipment will be installed in secondary school No. 31 in Urgench, which will contribute to improving the health of schoolchildren and improving sanitary-hygienic conditions.
Work is also underway in PEI No. 19 and 28 in the city of Termez to update old furniture to improve the quality of the educational process.
