Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov held talks with the President of Toyo University Etsuko Yaguchi.

The parties discussed issues of developing cooperation in studying the Japanese language, training, student exchange, enhancing ties with educational institutions of the country.

Taking into account the presence of the International Tourism Management at Toyo University, the possibility of developing cooperation in this area was considered.

Views were exchanged on the development of cooperation in the study of Buddhism, which can be implemented through the study of Buddhist monuments and artifacts, the publication of joint works on Buddhism and conduction of scientific and practical events. The Japanese side expressed its readiness to develop cooperation in this direction as well.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on working out the issues of signing a cooperation agreement between Toyo University and “Silk Road” International University of Tourism in Samarkand, as well as the creation of a special corner of Uzbekistan at Toyo University.
