Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister meets with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov has met with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Davlatali Said, in Dushanbe.

According to Uzbekistan MIFT, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of collaboration, as well as issues related to preparations for the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Tajikistan and related events.

The Tajik side emphasized that the planned visit at the highest level will become a powerful impetus for the development of a multifaceted bilateral partnership and will bring the relationship between the two states to a qualitatively new level.

The parties considered the results of the intensive joint work of the ministries and agencies of the two countries aimed at strengthening trade, economic, investment and interregional cooperation and rapprochement Uzbekistan and Tajikistan business communities, which was held over the past few months.

The sides also discussed priority areas for the development of investment cooperation and agreed to intensify joint work to improve conditions for the development of mutual trade by consistently canceling existing tariff and non-tariff measures and simplifying the access of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan products to the markets of the two countries.
