Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov met with a group of journalists from Pakistan who arrived to cover the Presidential elections in the country.

At the meeting, answers were given to questions from Pakistani journalists regarding the election campaign, held on October 24, the priorities of the country’s foreign policy.

Representatives of the leading Pakistani editions “Daily Ittehad”, “Islamabad Post”, “Pakistan In The World”, “Daily Times” highly appreciated the results of the elections, noted their openness, democracy, competition, equal conditions and opportunities provided by the CEC to all candidates from five political parties. The assessments of Pakistani journalists will be reflected in their materials following their visit to Uzbekistan.

Issues of developing information cooperation between the media of Uzbekistan and Pakistan were also discussed.
