On June 8, 2021, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fazilov held virtual talks with Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Mantas Adomėnas, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of multifaceted Uzbekistan – Lithuania relations in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other areas.

The main attention was paid to the activation of economic diplomacy between Uzbekistan and Lithuania. In particular, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in increasing mutual trade and diversifying the range of trade turnover, implementing joint investment projects, including in the transport logistics sphere.

Views were exchanged on certain aspects of cooperation between the two countries within the framework of regional and international structures.
