The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Dubai organized a roundtable discussion on “Constitutional reform of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, which was attended by activists of the Uzbek diaspora in the UAE and representatives of local media.

At the meeting, the Consul General of Uzbekistan Alisher Salomov spoke in detail about the goals of the constitutional reforms of Uzbekistan.

It was noted that its main task is to strengthen civil rights.

Four main directions of the upcoming amendments to the Basic Law of the country, put forward by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, were explained in detail.

The situation in Karakalpakstan was also explained to the participants. Information was provided about the reasons for the curfew on its territory and measures for an objective investigation of the incident.
