Ten strongest chess players of Uzbekistan departed for India’s Chennai to attend the 44th World Chess Olympiad 2022.

The event will include men’s and women’s championships, as well as events aimed at popularizing chess.

This year’s championship will be attended by 188 male and 162 female chess players. Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Nodirbek Yokubboyev, Jakhongir Vohidov, Shamsiddin Vohidov, Nilufar Yokubboyeva, Umida Omonova, Maftuna Bobomurodova, Afruza Khamdamova and Marjona Malikova will defend the honor of the country.
