Spain hosts the VI Elllobregat Open Chess 2025.

Talented chess players from 33 countries with an international rating of 2150 points or higher are competing for the victory. Umida Omonova, Guldona Karimova, Madinabonu Khalilova, Asal Salimova, Nilufarkhon Imomquziyeva, and Marjona Malikova are defending Uzbekistan’s honor in this tournament. They are performing in group A.

After five rounds, India’s 79th grandmaster Pranesh Munirethinam is in the lead in Group A with 4.5 points. He is followed by 11 participants with four points each and 19 participants with 3.5 points each.

Umida Omonova and Madinabonu Khalilova rank 49-51 among 132 participants, with 2.5 points. Guldona Khalilova and Nilufarkhon Imomquziyeva have two points each, while Marjona Malikova and Asal Salimova have 1.5 points each.
