Uzbekistan’s chess players in Sharjah Masters

The United Arab Emirates hosts Sharjah Masters International Chess Championship.

60 chess players from 29 countries of the world are participating in the tournament. The total prize fund is $60,000.

The honor of Uzbekistan is defended by Nodirbek Abdusattarov, Nodirbek Yokubbayev and Javokhir Sindarov. At the meetings of the sixth round, Nodirbek Yokubbayev defeated Pouya Idani from Iran, and Nodirbek Abdusattarov defeated Hans Niemann from the United States. Javokhir Sindarov drew with Aram Hakobyan from Armenia. 

According to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, after the sixth round, Nodirbek Yokubbayev and Nodirbek Abdusattarov with 4 points take 7th and 13th place. Javokhir took 27th place with 3.5 points.

In the overall rating of the international tournament, Nodirbek Yokubbayev takes 10th place in terms of additional coefficients, Nodirbek Abdusattarov is two positions behind him. The leadership is kept by Muhammad Amin Tabatabaei from Iran (5 points).
