Uzbekistan’s chess players attend the Budapest Spring Festival International Tournament
The Uzbekistan national team members showed worthy results at the Budapest Spring Festival 2026 International Chess Tournament in Hungary.
The tournament, with a prize fund of $9,025, was attended by 187 chess players from 34 countries. Six chess players from Uzbekistan defended the country’s honor at these prestigious competitions.

In Group A, Saidakbar Saidaliyev scored 7 points after 9 rounds and took second place. Thanks to this result, Saidaliyev added +29.3 points to his rating and won a cash prize of $1,700.

Another young chess player from Uzbekistan, Behruz Umarov, scored 7 points in Group B, which helped him improve his rating and finish the competition in the top four.
