Uzbekistan’s boxers win Men’s World Boxing Championships
On the fourth day of the World Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan’s Ruslan Abdullayev, who competes in the weight category up to 63.5 kg, entered the ring against Oier Ibarreche from Spain. Ruslan Abdullayev won his first fight with a boxer from Puerto Rico. Now he repeated the success and again defeated the opponent.
A group of representatives of the Uzbekistan national team are making their debut at this World Championships. Shodiyorjon Meliquziyev made the debut fight. The athlete, performing in the weight category up to 48 kg, beat his opponent from Nepal, Rabin Thapa.
One of the experienced members of the Uzbekistan team Khasanboy Dusmatov (up to 51 kg), also had his first fight in the Championships. The Olympic champion won a confident victory over the Mexican boxer Alberto Jimenez.
Another Uzbekistan national team member, the Tokyo 2020 Olympics winner Bakhodir Jalolov, defeated Denis Latypov from Bahrain.
The Championships continue.
