The Uzbekistan national team is performing strongly at the World Boxing Championships taking place in Liverpool, United Kingdom.
On another day of the tournament, in the -54 kg weight category, Nigina Uktamova defeated Hanna Lakotar of Hungary with a score of 5:0, while Navbakhor Khamidova in the -65 kg weight category won against Oshin Derieuw of Belgium with a score of 4:1. Both of Uzbekistan’s athletes advanced to the quarterfinals.
In the men’s -70 kg category, Shavkatjon Boltayev defeated Spanish boxer Bernad Martinez with a score of 3:0. Turabek Khabibullayev, competing in the -90 kg weight category, proved more decisive than Vagkan Nanitzanian of Greece.

Also, Abdumalik Khalokov in the -60 kg category defeated Giuseppe Canonico of Italy, Fazliddin Erkinboyev in the -75 kg category beat Sultan Osmanli of Türkiye, and Jahongir Zokirov in the +90 kg category won against Nikita Putilov of Germany.
