The flag of Uzbekistan was proudly raised at the Asian Throwing Championships, held in Mokpo, South Korea.

In the evening program of the competition, members of Uzbekistan’s national team won two silver medals.

At the championships, which brought together more than 1,230 athletes from 17 countries, Uzbekistan’s Malika Nasriddinova took second place in the shot put with a result of 17.14 meters.

Following Malika’s successful performance, another Uzbekistan athlete, Sukhrob Khodjayev, won a silver medal in the hammer throw with a result of 69.52 meters.
