Tashkent hosted Asian Fencing Championships among juniors and cadets.

The championships have ended with a team program.

Uzbekistan’s juniors were awarded 12, and the youth team – 15 medals.

On the last day of the competition, the women’s team received a gold medal and the men’s team – silver medal. While, Uzbekistan national team finished the championship with 5 gold, 3 silver and 7 bronze medals in the team events and took second place. Athletes from Hong Kong became first.

Uzbekistan and Hong Kong national teams won the same number of gold medals. But there is a slight advantage in silver awards, which gives it leadership in the competition. Kazakhstan's national team is in third place with 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.

Uzbekistan has shown its best result in the history of the Asian Championship.
