Competitions within the framework of the Sambo Founders Cup, taking place in the capital of Russia, were suspended due to a terrorist attack that occurred in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow.

On the first day of the competition, members of the Uzbekistan national team won 5 medals. Our talented athletes Sardor Olimjonov, Nemat Yoqubov, Farogat Nurmamatova, Mukhlisa Kodirberganova, and Indira Elmuratova rose to the podium in their weight categories.

Because of the tragedy, a day of mourning was declared in the Russian Federation. All sporting competitions, entertainment shows, concerts, and public events were canceled in the country.
