At the Central Asian Open Athletics Championship, which takes place in Tashkent, more than 400 athletes from Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Azerbaijan are competing for victory.

On the tournament’s first day, Anvar Anvarov won a gold medal in the long jump, Sukhrob Khojayev in the hammer throw, and Malika Nasriddinova in the shot put.

According to the tournament’s first-day results, the Uzbekistan team won 11 gold, 15 silver, and 11 bronze medals – a total of 37 medals.
