Uzbekistan’s athletes participated in the team events on the last day of the WT Taekwondo Championships held as part of the Chengdu World University Games.

Uzbekistan women’s national team beat the US team in the first round, the Chinese Taipei team in the quarterfinals, and the South Korean team in the semifinals. In the fight for the gold medal, they faced the representatives of China. Unfortunately, they couldn’t win the match and became silver medalists.

In addition, the men's national team lost to the representatives of South Korea in the first round.
