At a meeting dedicated to sports competitions in 2023, held at the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, it was announced that more than 400 athletes are preparing for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

At the meeting, which was attended by Deputy Minister for Youth Policy and Sports Shakhrullo Makhmudov, the NOC Secretary General Oybek Kosimov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee Sherzod Toshmatov, responsible persons of federations and associations, it was noted that this year the focus will be on worthy participation in the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, and obtaining as many licenses as possible for the upcoming Olympic Games.

It was emphasized that it is necessary to spend the funds allocated by the state in a targeted way, carefully analyze the training plans of each sports team.

Responsible persons noted that to determine plans for the future, new stages of cooperation with foreign specialists working in each team will be considered based on a special program.
