Istanbul hosted the solemn ceremony of awarding representatives of political, scientific, cultural, business and public circles, as well as mass media of the Turkic countries with the Silk Road Golden People of the Year International Award (İpekyolu Yılın Altın Adamları Ödül Töreni).

The event was organized by the Turkish Center for Strategic Studies of the Silk Road and the Silk Road Company.

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Turkey Alisher Agzamkhodjayev was awarded the prize in the nomination “For service to the Turkic World”.

Representatives of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Moldova and Romania were also awarded various prizes in other categories.

Head of Baktat Group of Companies operating in Samarkand region’s Kushrabad district Ali Baklan was also named among the winners of the Successful Entrepreneur Award.
