20:07 / 2024-03-18

On March 12-14, Uzbekistan youth took part for the first time in the annual forum within the framework of the 67th Session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND).

At the event, 35 young representatives from 27 countries discussed essential issues related to drug addiction prevention and youth health promotion.

At the forum, which served as a unique platform for exchanging ideas and experiences, representatives of Uzbekistan were informed about various modern concepts and initiatives, talking with the most advanced peers in this regard.

Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Ghada Waly called on young leaders to make full use of the available opportunities. Director of the Division for Policy Analysis and Public Affairs at UNODC Jean-Luc Lemahieu also stressed the special importance of this event in the development of youth initiatives.

In accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals, Uzbekistan's youth actively participate in solving global problems, making a worthy contribution to the creation of an even healthier and safer society.
