The visit of the delegation led by Alisher Sadullayev, Director of the Youth Affairs Agency, to the United States was marked by a series of productive meetings.
In particular, members of the delegation participated in the United Nations ECOSOC Youth Forum. This prestigious event, which focuses on critical issues concerning the future of global youth, is held annually by the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).


As part of the visit, the delegation also met with young professionals from leading companies and universities in Silicon Valley. During a meeting with Ella Shukho, Program Manager at 500 Global, discussions were held on the company’s activities in the Eurasian region, startup support initiatives in Uzbekistan, and prospects for collaboration with venture capital firms. As a result, plans are underway to establish a strategic partnership between Yoshlar Ventures and 500 Global.


The Silkroad Innovation Hub has launched an internship program in Silicon Valley for Central Asian countries. As part of this initiative, a startup championship will be held among Uzbek school students, with the winners participating in a special month-long program in California. The delegation proposed concrete steps for implementing this initiative.


During the visit, Ilya Strebulaev, a renowned scholar and author of Venture Mindset, met with Stanford University students and provided valuable recommendations on the development of startups and the venture capital ecosystem in Uzbekistan.
The delegation’s visit concluded with a meeting at Plug and Play. Discussions with the company’s leadership focused on the company’s global achievements, the operations of its branch in Uzbekistan, and potential collaboration with Yoshlar Ventures.
