An international tournament Asian Olympic Pre-Qualifier, which decided the team that will continue to struggle to obtain licenses for the Olympic Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro took place on March 7-8, Chennai (India). According to the results, the women's national rugby union team of Uzbekistan became the winner.

According to the results, the women's national rugby union team of Uzbekistan became the winner.

On the first day of the games women's team has played four games with the teams of India (12-5), South Korea (22-7), the Philippines (17-5) and Iran (32-0). On the second day, our girls met with the team of Guam, to whom they lost with a minimum score of 10-12. According to the results of played matches and scoring, our women's team reached the final. In the final match against India our girls won with a score of 38-0 and won first place.

Victory in this tournament will allow women's national rugby union team of Uzbekistan to take part in the qualifying tournament which, on which will be played licenses for the Olympic Games 2016. Qualifying tournaments will be held in November this year in Hong Kong and Tokyo.
