More than 12 thousand enterprises carry out activities in the food industry in Uzbekistan. All of the enterprises are working as usual. In most enterprises, work is organized in one shift and use 70 percent of the capacity. They still have the opportunity to use an additional 30 percent of the capacity and establish work in two shifts.
According to Uzbekoziqovqatholding Company, 98 percent of food products are localized. The country produces almost all raw products. They import cocoa and coffee beans, citrus fruits. This means that concern that food will rise in price or a shortage occurs is not appropriate.
