The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Abat Fayzullayev met with the Head of the Italian Confederation of Craft Trades and Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises (CAN), President of CNA Federmoda, Antonio Franceschini.

The parties discussed the prospects for establishing and developing cooperation between business entities in light industry, fashion, and design, introducing the Italian experience into the industry of Uzbekistan in these areas.

The head of the Embassy informed about the development of the domestic light and furniture industries, fashion and design, and export opportunities. There was great interest in foreign experience in textiles, leather, and footwear production.

The need to diversify trade relations was emphasized, in connection with which the Italian side is interested in establishing and developing cooperation with Uzbekistan in small and medium-sized businesses.

Considering the current promising areas of cooperation, as a first step, it was decided to organize a visit of specialists from CNA member companies to Uzbekistan and workshops for industry specialists.

As the next stage of cooperation, the issue of creating an Uzbekistan – Italian Fashion and Design Center in Uzbekistan will be worked out.
