Measures have been determined in Uzbekistan to encourage filmmakers by the Presidential Decree “On measures to raise the cinema art and film industry to a qualitatively new level and further improve the system of state support for the industry” of April 7, 2021.

The document approves the holding regularly of the Tashkent International Film Festival “Pearl of the Silk Road”. It will be held in the country annually starting this year. The best filmmakers of the country will be awarded the National Film Award “Oltin Humo”. 

The decree establishes the State Scholarship named after Khudoybergan Devonov to support students of higher education institutions studying in cinematography direction.

The “Kinematografiya Fidokori” badge has been established to encourage creative workers and specialists who carry out effective activities in the national cinematography.
