A spiritual and enlightenment event dedicated to the 581st anniversary of Alisher Navoi’s birth was held at the Educational Center for Training Afghan Citizens in Termez. It was attended by representatives of the regional hokimiyat, the department of spirituality and enlightenment, teachers, students and media representatives.

Director of the Educational Center for Training Afghan Citizens O. Ruziyev addressed the event. In his speech, he spoke about the life and work of the great poet, scientist, thinker, educator and statesman Alisher Navoi.

“His life is an example for youth”, he said.

Professors and students of the center read excerpts from Navoi ghazals, presented performances based on the works of the poet.

Organizers presented sets of books and memorable souvenirs to active participants.
