Heraklion hosted the 2022 IWF Weightlifting Junior World Championships.

Uzbekistan’s Mirkhosil Mirzabayev (+109 kg) won three silver medals according to the last day of the championships. He showed a result of 176 kg in the snatch, 212 kg in the clean and jerk, and 388 kg.

Members of the Uzbekistan National Team won five gold and silver medals and two bronze medals.
