Representatives of ministries, agencies, and companies responsible for such spheres as trade, investments, economy, agriculture, textile, pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries, production of electronics and building materials took part in the negotiations organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the American – Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce.

Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan A.Ikramov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the USA J.Vakhobov and others noted that trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries is consistently developing, the activity of the American – Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce serves as an important mechanism for supporting and implementing joint projects.

Executive director of the American – Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce E.Son and American businessmen emphasized that the meeting with the group of heads of the leading companies of this country, held during the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the US on September 18-20, 2017, served as an important factor in filling the business cooperation with new content, wider involvement of the existing capabilities of the sides.

The economic, socio-political, cultural, humanitarian, spiritual and educational reforms taking place in Uzbekistan are of great interest in the international community. International analysts particularly appreciate the large-scale measures being implemented in the economy. Changes in the sphere of further liberalization of business environment, supporting small business and private entrepreneurship contribute to further growth of investment attractiveness of Uzbekistan. More than 160 enterprises with participation of American entrepreneurs are operating in Uzbekistan, which is the result of the ongoing activity on granting preferences and privileges to investors, liberalization of foreign exchange policy.

During the videoconference, American businessmen were told about a number of tax and customs benefits, preferences created for foreign investors and partners in various sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan, in particular, in the agricultural sector.

At the event, representatives of the American company “WCC International” held presentations on opportunities of promoting products of Uzbekistan in the US market, international marketing, e-commerce and other issues. Representatives of business circles of the USA noted the interest in further expansion and strengthening of cooperation with entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan.
