Uzbekistan universities expand cooperation
11:22 / 2025-12-16

A presentation forum of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) was held in Taipei, China, as part of the FISU Healthy Campus Programme.

The event was attended by Muzaffar Pazilov, Deputy Secretary General of the Uzbekistan Students’ Sport Association, who was briefed on leading international practices to create a healthy environment in higher education institutions, promote healthy lifestyles among students, and develop physical education and sports.

During the forum, special attention was paid to improving university infrastructure, supporting student health, and the systematic implementation of sports and wellness programs.

This initiative is essential for Uzbekistan’s higher education institutions to expand international cooperation, improve their global rankings, and enhance their positive image by promoting healthy lifestyles and sports.

The FISU – Healthy Campus Programme aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and is implemented in accordance with global standards. It provides universities with several advantages. In particular, the university will be officially recognized by FISU, will receive the appropriate certificate, and will be included in the international register. This will enhance the prestige of the higher education institution in the global sports and educational community. Universities that receive the certificate will have the opportunity to participate in FISU and UNESCO grant programs and to rank highly in the Student Wellbeing category in international rankings such as QS and THE.
