Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Head of the British Counter-Terrorism Company for Afghanistan, Bhavik Shah.

The parties discussed the current situation in Afghanistan, issues of providing humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people and intensifying the efforts of the world community to restore the economy of this country.

Bhavik Shah acknowledged the vital role of Uzbekistan in developing a comprehensive regional position on Afghanistan and highly appreciated Tashkent’s efforts to prevent the threat of terrorism from penetrating the region’s countries.
