Significant progress is achieved in all areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates.
In particular, if in 2022, the volume of mutual trade increased by 2.1 times, reaching $518.6 million, then in 2023, this figure increased by almost 21 percent ($625.9 million). The number of enterprises with the participation of UAE capital has risen to 300.
This was noted at a meeting between the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, and the Director General of the UAE Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange, Abdulla Nasser Lootah.

During the conversation, the need to improve trade indicators through further strengthening the activities of the joint Intergovernmental Commission was emphasized.
Issues of further developing multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and the UAE, including in trade, economic, social, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, were discussed.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to working with international ratings and indices, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, and implementing joint projects in digital technologies.
At the same time, in connection with the announcement of this year in Uzbekistan as the Year of Support for Youth and Business, ways to further enhance collaboration in working with youth were considered.
