Uzbekistan – UAE: New contracts signed

The international forums ENACT Majlis and ADIPEC 2025 were held in Abu Dhabi from November 2 to 6.

The forums were attended by heads of ministries and leading companies active in the fuel and energy sector, as well as in the fields of AI and digitalization, along with a delegation from Uzbekistan led by Minister of Energy Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov.

The participants analyzed the implementation of AI technologies in the energy sector and facilitated an exchange of views on sustainable energy, sector modernization, increasing system adaptability, and innovative public-private partnership models. It was noted that electricity production and transmission processes, data centers, and digital connectivity systems play a crucial role.

During the roundtable discussion “Strengthening energy security and stability through diversification” with the participation of ministers, the focus was placed on discussing a new stage of energy security, stability, and diversification, as well as practical and pragmatic approaches to meeting energy demand.

As part of the cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE, attention was given to the development of green energy and the oil and gas sector, current activities, achieved results, and future plans. It was noted that Uzbekistan is currently operating five solar power plants with a total capacity of 1,247 MW, a wind power plant with a capacity of 500 MW, and an energy storage system with a capacity of 63 MW. A 300 MW solar photovoltaic station is being constructed in Kashkadarya region.

At the forum, contracts were signed with Masdar for the construction of two energy storage systems in Navoi region.
