Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov, who is on a working visit to the UAE, met with the leadership of the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure of the UAE.

At the meeting with the Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, current issues of enhancing bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation, the implementation of joint projects were discussed. The interest of new private companies in the UAE in entering the market of Uzbekistan was noted.

The issue of organizing the 5th meeting of Uzbekistan – UAE Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, as well as a joint business forum in May this year in Samarkand, was agreed upon.

At the meeting with the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, current issues of enhancing bilateral investment cooperation in the spectrum of development of the energy sector and infrastructure of Uzbekistan were discussed. The Emirati side emphasized that cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE is a practical example of an effective and successful bilateral partnership.
