Uzbekistan, UAE discuss issues of accelerating the implementation of joint projects

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov has held virtual talks with the Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi.

According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, the parties discussed the course of bilateral cooperation within the framework of the program for improving the efficiency of public administration in Uzbekistan.

Prospects for expanding the program of bilateral cooperation were considered by covering the spheres of finance, trade, tourism and development of business incubators. Practical aspects of the final stage of the competition for development of the best state mobile application “mGovAward”, where the Emirati side sponsors a prize fund in the amount of $100 thousand, and prospects for expanding the “One Million Programmers” program, were also discussed.

The parties considered current issues related to the acceleration of the implementation of joint projects and intensification of bilateral cooperation.
