The Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers held a cultural-enlightenment event dedicated to the friendship between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan peoples.

The event is aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries based on good-neighborliness, preserving and comprehensively developing national traditions and customs, spiritual-moral values of fraternal peoples.

The event was attended by senior officials of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan, representatives of national cultural centers of Uzbekistan and art figures.

The importance of the role of national cultural centers in ensuring interethnic harmony and tolerance in Uzbekistan was noted at the event.

The event also included an exhibition of products of national handicrafts of Turkmenistan and its national dishes.
