The forum is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, Bukhara Regional Hokimiyat and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The event is attended by representatives of ministries, agencies, industry associations, businesspeople and media workers of the two countries. The 2nd meeting of Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan Council of Entrepreneurs, exhibitions of industrial products and decorative-applied arts of the two countries will also take place.
It is planned to sign bilateral trade-economic agreements, draft investment agreements, as well as documents on the development of interregional cooperation. Special attention will be paid to joint investment projects and trade agreements in agriculture, automotive, textile, chemical and petrochemical industries, transport and logistics, energy, tourism and other areas.
Presentations of specific investment proposals will also be held, taking into account the capabilities and potential of each region of Uzbekistan. Within the framework of the agreements reached with the Turkmen side, it is planned to implement 8 export contracts worth $308 million, an import contract worth $10 million and a major investment project worth $10 million.
The forum is attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Atdayev.
